The short version

Simpliers and Gifty both pick random winners from the comments of a public Instagram post, and neither asks for your Instagram password. The differences are where you run the draw and how big your giveaway is:

  • Simpliers runs in the browser and has iPhone and Android apps. It handles very large posts, giveaways across several posts, follow checks on winners and a certificate your followers can verify with a code.
  • Gifty is an iPhone app for one post or reel per draw, with up to 1,000 participants (unique accounts). You pay per draw with credits, with no subscription, and you can record the draw with a countdown for your Stories.

When Simpliers is the better choice

  • You're not on an iPhone. Simpliers works in any browser and on Android.
  • Your post is big. Gifty includes up to 1,000 participants per draw. Simpliers sells credits for far more entries.
  • You want a verifiable certificate. Followers can enter a Simpliers giveaway code and see the result and participant list.
  • You combine posts or networks. Simpliers can pool comments from several posts, even on other platforms. Gifty draws from one post or reel.
  • You need follow checks or word filters. Simpliers can show whether each winner follows the accounts you list. Gifty doesn't check follows or likes.
  • Your giveaway is small. On a post with up to 500 comments, Simpliers' free draw may be all you need.

When Gifty may suit you

  • You run giveaways from your iPhone and want the whole draw in one app.
  • You'd rather pay per draw than subscribe. Credits don't renew.
  • You want each account to count once without setting anything up.
  • You want alternates from the same draw, so nobody asks why you drew again.
  • You draw on Instagram Live or film it for Stories, with a countdown and a screen recording.

Picking from a list instead of comments? Our random name picker and wheel spinner are free and run in your browser. Before you use a credit, the free post preview on our comment picker page shows a public post and its comment count.

How to run the same giveaway in Gifty

You need an iPhone with iOS 15 or later and a post or reel on a public account.

  1. 1. Copy the post link

In Instagram, open the giveaway post or reel, tap the share button and copy the link.

  2. 2. Paste it into Gifty

That's all Gifty needs. No Instagram login, no password.

  3. 3. Match your rules

Set the number of winners and alternates, and the minimum @mentions your caption asked for. Each account always counts once, so there's no unique-users switch.

  4. 4. Set the countdown and recording

Choose the countdown length and turn on screen recording. The video is saved to Photos.

  5. 5. Start the draw

It uses one credit. Gifty collects up to 1,000 participants, removes duplicates, applies your @mention rule and picks winners on your phone.

  6. 6. Check and announce

Check follows and likes on each winner yourself. If someone doesn't qualify, contact the next alternate. Then share the video or screenshot.

Simpliers alternative FAQ

Is there a free Simpliers alternative?

Gifty isn't free per draw: the app is free to download, and each draw uses one credit. If you already have a list of names, our random name picker is free. On a post with up to 500 comments, Simpliers' own free draw may cover it.

Does Gifty need my Instagram password?

No. Gifty works from the link to a public post or reel and never logs in to your account. See what Gifty does with your data.

Can Gifty handle posts as big as Simpliers can?

No. Each Gifty draw includes up to 1,000 participants, meaning unique accounts. For bigger posts, a tool with higher limits, such as Simpliers' paid credits, is the better choice.

Does Gifty give a certificate or a results link?

No. Gifty shows winners and alternates with username and profile photo, and you can share a screenshot and the recording. If a verifiable certificate matters to your followers, Simpliers offers one.

Does commenting more than once give more chances?

In Gifty, no: each account counts once. In Simpliers it depends on your rules: with no rule set, each comment is an entry.

Is Gifty connected to Simpliers?

No. Gifty is independent and not affiliated with Simpliers, Instagram or Meta. Simpliers is a trademark of its owner, named here only for comparison.
